I am so excited I can finally share this quilt. I made this for my cousin Bri's soon to be new baby! I made this a few months ago and had a lot of fun with it. As soon as she told us it was a girl, I got going! The funny thing is when I gave it to her at the baby shower last weekend, she asked how I knew she was doing purple and greens with butterflies as her theme. Answer, I had no idea! I just believe that means it was meant to be!
I used a charm pack that I had on hand. This quilt went along very well with my goal to use up my precuts this year. I am slowly making my way through them.
The backing was a velvet type material that someone had given me. I wasn't sure how well it was going to quilt up, but I love the results. It is super soft and the quilting shows up great on it!
I am glad to finally share this and have a lot more coming up. I have 3 scrappy quilts going (another goal is using up my scrap stash), a few table runners for my shop, and a few odds and ends projects. It's a great week for me to sew and catch up because we are supposed to be getting some more snow!
