A few of my finishes

I've been on a roll here lately getting things done. I think it must be my rush to get them done before I have this baby. The only thing that has been taking a long time is getting pictures of them and putting them on here. I really do try to keep this as a log of all my projects, but I'm not always good about posting stuff. So here are a few of my finished quilts I finally got around to getting pictures of.
Road to Tennessee Quilt
I decided to do this one in all purples since I seem to never use purple in any of my quilts. I gifted this one to my Aunt Sondra since she loves purple.

I have been hoarding this backing fabric for well over 10 years. I thought it was about time to use some of it up.

Scrappy String Quilt
I made this one as a way to use up some of my scrap stash. It was fun but I was happy to finish it up. It will be a birthday gift for a cousin of mine.

A few smaller works

Here is a wall hanging and table runner I did for a client. On the sampler table runner I did a big all over paisley design and some custom work on the wonky house wall hanging. I am so loving all of these beautiful pieces I get to quilt on!

Kym's Baby Quilt

One of my friends is due 2 weeks before I am. When I received her baby shower invite I asked her if she had any specific colors she was going with. She told me purple and turquoise so this is what I came up with. Hope she and the baby enjoy it!

I have so much fun doing the swirl design. I have been working on getting them bigger so that it isn't so densely quilted. I also have really loved doing a scrappy look with the same colors, just different designs of fabric. It's becoming one of my favorite methods of picking out fabrics rather than having all one print in a color. I just love how this came out!

Lynn's Colorful Quilt

When someone puts black fabric with really bright colors I seem to fall in love instantly with a quilt. I love the high contrast between the colors and I've always favored black as a background color. This was a lap size quilt and I did an all over stipple design on it. I think it turned out beautifully!

Grandma Nancy's Chevron Quilt

When she started this project she was going to make a herringbone layout. After getting some of her blocks together though, she decided it worked way better as a chevron quilt. She usually just goes with a simple stipple when she has me quilt them, but this time I talked her into a little bit of custom work. I did a feather in every other row and then a smaller stipple in the color rows. We decided to do a darker thread color so the quilting would really pop out. I love this line of fabric she used, it is Adorn It by Gigi Blooms. It came out so beautifully!
